Officials,
We are excited today to announce the launch of an officiating website that we will
use going forward to communicate officiating news that we have previously done
with email. While the site is not elaborate, it does allow us to grow as we move
forward and develop additional content, including video.
The site is free to any official at any level, and although the primary focus will be
NCAA rules and mechanics, we feel it can be useful for all officials at every level to
help us continue our goals of improving performance and consistency.
We will post all our bulletins, tests, memos, and notices about clinics and camps.
To start with, we will put up the bulletins from last season, some new mechanics
related to the 2011 responsibilities on trips formations, our 2011 Clinic Test,
registration information for our Arkansas camp and other clinic dates, as well as
other information and content related to NCAA rules and interpretations. There
are a few video clips but that part of the website will develop slowly as it requires
more technical components and time.
To access the site, go to www.footballofficiating.com. If you want to register, just
click on the tab in the upper right, select a user name and enter the required
information. A generic password will be emailed to you that you can then use to
change to whatever password you want to use. If you have questions, there is a
“Contact Us” section that you can submit.
